As an Infusion Nurse, you will be responsible for administering medications and fluids through intravenous (IV) infusion to patients. Responsibilities:
- Perform vital signs assessment and monitor patient's condition during infusion therapy.
- Prepare and administer medications and fluids via IV infusion according to physician orders.
- Monitor and maintain accurate documentation of patient's response to treatment.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on infusion therapy procedures, potential side effects, and self-care techniques.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment.
- Assist with phlebotomy procedures as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, preferably in an infusion or critical care setting
- Proficient in IV insertion, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Strong knowledge of infection control practices
- Ability to assess patient needs, develop care plans, and implement appropriate interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
